Sneaky Pete & Santa Steals Dogs?

Category: Production Blog Comments: No comments

Woah!!! Long overdue for a post here, but much has been happening. Deep in the weeds working on  making things happen. As all indie filmmakers know, you have to wear many, many hats while you’re bringing a project together. While still hip-deep in the machinations to launch SCORCHED EARTH:The Other Side of World War II off the ground, we’ve been acting in other projects.  Both Edwin H. Bravo & Robert E. Wilhelm have been rather busy as of late, Edwin has been busting it in several episodes of Sneaky Pete, and Wilhelm (new website link!) premiered in the AllDefDigital YouTube Red Series Pilot Snap! as well as the new Christmas family film Santa Stole Our Dog: A Merry Doggone Christmas helmed by the veteran Bryan Michael Stoller, where the masterful Edward Asner turns in a tour-de-force ...

“SCORCHED EARTH” Rising…

Category: Production Blog Comments: No comments

No – we haven’t vanished or been abducted by aliens (yet!)! No – just been deep in the trenches working on projects and putting others together, namely one SCORCHED EARTH:The Other Side of World War II feature film by name. Some real impressive advancements  as of late. It’s an ambitious project to be sure but then again, why play small ball? Life’s too short. All of us only have one go around on this earth, why not go for the gold? Let someone else settle for the bronze. As you can see, some impressive attachments already, there are some others we can’t divulge at this point but will do so when possible. Nailed down is a complete & prepared budget, vetted & well-seasoned production group, locale, reenactment groups, & armored vehicles...

Whoa! – What happened to Summer 2015!!!??? Boy that went lighting fast!!! We’re way overdue for a blog post and things are taking off so here we go…

Ladies & Gentlemen, we live in exciting times, to wit:

Big – B-I-G NEWS : THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death is now a full length feature film!!! New Executive Producer came onboard who absolutely LOVES the entire concept as well as the script and sees it as a full length feature film instead of a short (well, in the interests of full disclosure so did we!!!). Dearest thanks go to Project Manager Adela Taylor for putting together the Project Book to that made it – as it is – eminently unique and ultimately unforgettable!!! Add to this we proudly announce the addition of our cast member – Yul Spencer – AKA “KOOL YUL” – to the production.

A Marscher Lord on a Red Carpet, A GI Film Fest, Vets & A Wilhelm Cast…

Category: Production Blog Comments: No comments

The horror/psych thriller genre is certainly one that makes $$$, which is obviously why they keep making them!!! And that will continue until the pubic at large tires of them which has yet to happen. In that vein, our very own R.E. Wilhelm III just booked a lead part in Mark W. Curran’s upcoming indie feature “The Abandoned Dead” (no website as yet – under construction). The script is a real thriller with a fascinating twist at the end. No campy ‘teens-lost-in-woods-hunted-by-crazed-zombie/vampire’ schlock here (life’s too short for that!), but a very well-thought out & well-written project. Principle shooting begins this summer. Well done Mr. Curran!!! We’re earnestly look forward to the result!

ReGroup/ReLoad/Relaunch!!!

Well, the campaign on Indiegogo expired without us reaching out target goal of $70,000 for the production of THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death. We’ll fall on our swords since – obviously – there’s still some things/nuances we’re not doing/aware of re: crowdfunding. There’s a big, still-evolving learning curve on it and obviously our blade isn’t sharp enough yet to cut through the vast swathe of crowdfunding projects listed on the various crowdfunding sites. That’s ok. We’re all about moving  forward and learning as we go. The time the project was active was not wasted, we made many more contacts & connections and were/still are able to turn more people on to the project. Wonder if we were doing a zombie project if we’d’ve done better $$ wise? :<D

FV ‘Harbinger Down’ Steams Back into Port Amid Sad News…

News came this a.m. that we’ve lost Harold Ramis, the terrific geeky-chic actor & director who brought the world such gems as CaddyShack (starring friend of the site & all-around terrrific acting teacher Scott Colomby), Groundhog Day, & Ghostbusters. Came out of Second City in Chicago, which is a terrific training ground for sketch comedy actors. A late friend of ours – Frank Payne – was also an alumni. Scott always spoke very highly of him and you can see his wit in his interviews, especially here on the “Quotability of Caddyshack”.  The world will miss your unique ability to make us laugh and bring zany comedy to the screen Mr. Ramis. It seems at only 69, you have a lot of good years left in you.

Support for THE MARSCHER LORDS:Bro...

FV ‘Harbinger Down’ Hauls its Deadliest Catch Yet & ‘It’s Not Just a Movie, but a Movement…’

‘It’s Not Just a Movie, but a Movement…’

Chivalry. Honor. Duty. Gallantry.

Those words may be a bit foreign to some in today’s modern, fast-paced, teckie-type world, but to knights of the Teutonic Order, Knights Templar, & the Livonian Order, they were sacred words by which to live and die. Die schwerpunkt, or “point of main effort”, was to protect the what was considered at the time defenseless (see below) making the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. It was for this that they were founded. The Teutonic Order’s castle still stands today at Acre, on the peninsula in the Gulf of Haifa. Amazing, since it’s been fought over and around about six times since the First Crusade in 1104.

‘It’s Not Just a Movie, but a Movement…’

Chivalry. Honor. Duty. Gallantry.

But these principles by which they lived ...
