Thanks to the <a title="Planes of Fame Air Museum Official Site" href="http://planesoffame.org/" target="_blank">Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA</a> for their graciousness in allowing us to utilize their facilities. The venerable <a title="David Hansen-Sturm Website" href="http://www.davidhansen-sturm.com/" target="_blank">David Hansen-Sturm</a> is lensing it, with <a title="Lt. Col F Lee Reynolds, USAR IMDB Page" href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0974115/bio" target="_blank"> Colonel F. Lee Reynolds USAR</a> onboard doing (what they call) Host Narrative. His experiences from his multiple tours of Iraq will prove invaluable. Gordon Hearne, who is president of the <a title="Battle of the Bulge Veterans Official Page" href="http://www.veteransofthebattleofthebulge.org/nation-chapters/" target="_blank">Southern California Chapter of the Battle of the Bulge Veterans</a> will appear in it also, but we’ll be shooting him in a different locale. Been going back and forth with <a title="Walker-Fitzgibbon TV & Film Production Official Site" href="http://www.walkerfitzgibbon.com" target="_blank">Mo Fitzgibbon (of Walker-Fitzgibbon.com)</a> re: wardrobe. She’s wants the “Steve McQueen” look for this; black turtleneck, black jeans, my erstwhile boots. Have a great location scouted out, the USS Enterprise CV-6 Hangar. All dressed up like a carrier deck circa World War II. In there you’ll see several interesting relics of history: Douglas SBD Dauntless Dive-Bomber (victor of Midway), Chance-Vought F4-U Corsair, and a Grumman TBM Avenger Torpedo Bomber. Exactly the type of aircraft you don’t see everyday. Sorry to say, the Museum lost its Grumman F6F Hellcat in a crash a year or two ago. The Japanese A6M Zero held sway until the F6F came along. Navy & Marine pilots dubbed it “the Zero Killler”; up to the time of its debut (1943) was the only Allied aircraft that could out-climb and out-turn the venerated A6M in a dogfight.</p> <div id="attachment_157" style="width: 310px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="http://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144535_683.jpg"><img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-157" class="size-medium wp-image-157" alt="USS Enterprise CV-6 Hangar" src="http://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144535_683-300x168.jpg" width="300" height="168" srcset="https://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144535_683-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144535_683-1024x576.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-157" class="wp-caption-text">USS Enterprise CV-6 Hangar</p></div> <p style="text-align: left;">Getting really busy here: in addition to the above there’s <a title="THE MARSCHER LORDS: Brotherhood or Death Official Website" href="http://www.marscherlordsfilm.com" target="_blank"><em><strong>THE MARSCHER LORDS: Brotherhood or Death</strong></em></a> which is generating a ton of interest (finding out the kickstarter campaign was done a little out-of-sequence; no worries. Live & Learn, <em>n’est pas</em>?). Then shoot a trailer for <strong><em>Scorched Earth: The Other Side of World War II</em></strong>. Not a teaser, a trailer. Whole different thing. In effect a mini-movie. It takes place on the Russian Front, circa 1942. Then there’s a trailer for <em><strong>The Forty Days</strong></em>, about the American Civil War, and then a trailer for <a title="All the Iron Men on Amazon.com" href="http://www.amazon.com/All-Iron-Men-Welcome-Already/dp/0615502784" target="_blank"><strong><em>All the Iron Men</em></strong></a>. Oh boy: a World War II submarine picture. Now THAT’S going to be interesting. Have to bring in <a title="Wonderworks Web Official Site" href="http://www.wonderworksweb.com" target="_blank">Sir Brick </a>on that one too! As well as <strong><em>Order of the Valiant</em> </strong>and hell, we’ve got to shoot the actual production of <strong><em>Scorched Earth: the Other Side of World War II</em></strong>! Whew! Just thinkin’ about it has me going in about eighteen different directions. This is what’s known as Getting it in the Bag!!! All of it!!! To attract $$ you’ve got to get your stuff in front of people and engage them on an emotional level.</p> <div id="attachment_161" style="width: 310px" class="wp-caption alignright"><a href="http://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144506_964.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-161" class="size-medium wp-image-161 " style="margin: 10px;" alt="USS Enterprise CV-6 Hangar" src="http://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144506_964-300x168.jpg" width="300" height="168" srcset="https://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144506_964-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.quarterdeckent.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMG_20131019_144506_964-1024x576.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-161" class="wp-caption-text">USS Enterprise CV-6 Hangar</p></div> <p style="text-align: left;">It’s all good.
