THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death Promo in the Can!!! Just this past Tues we shot several theme-based vignettes that we’re cutting into a short promo film for the aforementioned production!!! A terrific cast of mates & new friends including RE Wilhelm IIIEdwin H Bravo (who just recently shot an episode of The Comeback with Lisa Kudrow for HBO), Joe Sachem (one of the finest character actors around), Rita Green, who hails from Hollywood’s Golden Age where she was under contract to Universal Studios, Stephen Rollins, Aubreeanna Carroll, & Julian Dorame, who was a fantastic last-minute substitute from Sir Brick Price! He was found by the most wonderful woman  in the world (Adela Taylor) – doubling as Producer/ Production Assist -literally last minute when the actors previously cast flaked out (welcome to L.A.!) & didn’t show up on set. It actually worked out perfectly, for the message we were looking to convey he had the right look and accoutrement! You’ll understand the latter when you see the video!!(Every thing happens for a reason!!) Lenser David Hansen-Sturm has both a wonderful eye for shots but also an acute inner feel for what works right in a scene. He & Adela Taylor’s participation was invaluable to the entire production – she literally made the entire production come off without a hitch or problem and we were actually ahead of schedule (how often do you hear that in film production?). The key is to know what you’re going for, get those there that can both deliver it & capture it, and get it done!!! Professional Location Scout Nick Vallas showed up, lending his erstwhile moral support (he’s one of our biggest fans as well as all-around drinking buddy!!!) & hung out with us while we hashed out the post-game.  A special shout-out goes to building owner, Scotsman John Parker, who gave us permission to shoot in – and around – the building. And if it hadn’t been for CFO Ruby Emerald Diamond along with her husband Bill Muranaka, it simply wouldn’t have been what it was!!! Thank You All, One & All!!!

Now it’s to the editing bay to hammer out what we’ve got & put it to music. We’re excited to get on this on may bring in a composer for a special score. As we’ve noted on this blog before, at the core of all these stories we have on slate, they all – in one way or another – contain the seed of chivalry. Simply defined: Do Unto Others & Accord Honor & Respect to One’s Fellow Man. That may come as a surprise from the various projects we have on slate but our challenge is – & will be – bringing it out for all to see & understand!!! So stay tuned!!!

Tick…tick…tick…the hours turn to minutes…the minutes to seconds…toward Premier of…

If you haven’t seen it, make sure you check out Dark Dune’s Productions trailer for Harbinger Down. Remember our very own Edwin H Bravo has a key part in the film!!! We’re anxious for the premier and are counting the days!!! Don’t mean to be repetitive but the Director – one Alec Gillis by name – has vast experience in this genre (formerly of the Stan Winston Studio) as does star Lance Henriksen. With all these elements together, they should make for quite a picture. Tick…tick…tick…
