Stuck Somewhere Between “Where Eagles Dare” & “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”…

That’s the word that comes to mind after a couple of days spent skiing on the slopes in Telluride, CO.  A more picturesque town could not be found outside of Bavaria or the Tyrol (both of which we’ve been to but never had the pleasure of sampling the slopes while on skiis). The whole affair felt like a cross between “Where Eagles Dare” & “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service“, two rollicking good adventure flicks. However the comparison only goes so far: there was nobody (thankfully! ) shooting at us! Hey – we all can’t be Producer/Director Stephen Rollins in Afghanistan! Stephen – we want you on the team, not taking one for the team! :<D (Steve just had a table read of his new American Identity script, and we would have been there if not for a previous very time-sensitive engagement. By all reports it went swimmingly!) Was there with two fabulous individuals who also happen to be family: Sister Melanie & husband Jeff Dunaway. Both excellent skiers who put yours truly to shame ( been a few years since yours truly has been on skis). Of course I fell down a few times! Did you really have to ask? Nice bruise on the left hip thanks to being on slopes – in reality – I had no business being on. But handled the situation with aplomb & dexterity and never lost control. Skiing is kind of like bike riding, once you get the experience under your belt it never really leaves you. Ck out the photos, Telluride is one gorgeous place!

The regrouping continues with THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death. As previously stated, there is something in the crowdfunding mix that we have yet to learn. The “Learning Curve” on all this stuff is pretty broad and is not – yet – an exact science. That’s alright since interest in the project(s) [feature included} has been kindled and continues to increase. We’re talking with several private individuals as well as groups so stay tuned. If we could raise the production capital privately, that would probably be preferable. But we’ll go ahead with the regroup/reload/relaunch target as planned however. And we should point out there will be a charity involved here, one TBD but we’re definitely going to be making a donation to the Teutonic Order as well as the Order of St. Constantius (Sir Brick Price & Sir Michael Teilmann are both members of the latter order). Great projects are rare & far too good to walk away from.  We’re going to put together another teaser/commercial reel for it, so stay tuned!

Also an update due for Masters of War: Soldiers of Distinction: interest building as well, both from a distributor as well as investors. We’re bringing onboard a U.S. Veterans Charity as the prime beneficiary of the series, the exact one we’ll disclose when the time is right, but it’s a major one but not the one you might think. Also going to add some graphics to the Masters of War: Soldiers of Distinction teaser reel, feel that might make it all that much stronger.

That which makes us stronger, makes us better.

In the “Edwin Rocks!!!” Dept, Edwin H Bravo (Petrus von Marscher in THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death) is attending a Harbinger Down poster signing event today @ Monsterpalooza in Burbank, CA. Check out a few photos here.

And don’t forget to check out Kyle Hester‘s & Gary Hubb‘s new movie “Burden of Freedom”  (Script penned by Ken Ramoz) about the dangers of PTSD: the “silent” killer that preys upon Veterans returning from Afghanistan & Iraq. It kills just as effectively as any AK-47 round does. They’re up on Indiegogo.com. Support their project! Vets need it & need attention drawn to this ever-growing, ever-increasing problem & they’ve only got a few more days left on Indiegogo! As heretofore stated, the time to sit on the sidelines is way past. If you want to be part of the game (& you can be) you’ve got to pick up your helmet, get off the bench, & get in the game!
