Now the real crunch time begins!!! As of about 2 a.m EST, the Indiegogo.com page went active. A bit delayed after some hand-to-hand combat with PayPal (why is it there’s such trouble recognizing accounts?) but that should be ironed out soon if you’re looking to donate via PayPal. We’re Up!!! We’re Up!!! We’re Up!!! A long time in coming – maybe too long for some of our fans – but trying to prep the ground properly. Crowdfunding is not an exact science and many are still learning as we go along. Most of the preparation concerned getting the word out via the Facebook page, which still continues to steam on strongly. That has allowed us to span continents, including Great Britain & Germany. Support for this project in both countries has been steadily growing. As the Teutonic Knights worked hand-in-hand on many an occasion with the Knights Templar, no small wonder there.

Noticed some interesting trends over time on the Facebook page: colorful, action-oriented pics seem to be the favorites. No big surprise there. Will incorporate that into the projects materials. There’s also been good response (i.e. “Likes”) on the individual Großmeister shields; those designs (made by the Knights themselves and/or their families) are extremely unique and are very eye-catching. Small wonder so many of them were worked into both personal and unit insignia in latter conflicts.

Share this – and the Facebook page posts – as much as you can. Getting the word out is the only way to raise production $$. Remember, the 21st Century has empowered the individual more than ever. With the revolution in technology, YOU CAN MAKE THE CHOICE ON WHAT GETS PRODUCED OR NOT!!! THAT HAS NEVER BEEN A REALITY – UNTIL NOW!!! Aren’t you better at deciding your entertainment decisions than some pajama boy hipster sitting in an office in Los Angeles? Thanks to the 21st Century, he doesn’t have the power he used to, it’s now in YOUR HANDS!!! But with maximum freedom comes maximum personal responsibility: when you like something you tend to choose it, (i.e. you prefer an IPA over a Porter or vice-versa). You prefer this pub or bar over the one over there so that’s where you & your friends go. When you like & appreciate something – anything – you act on it. That’s what we all need to do here, act on it: pledge, share, and point it out to your friends & family that here – with this project – we’re trying to make a difference. No schlocky retread Hollywood story but one about real people in real times – very dangerous times. An invading force had Europe in a panic. It was up to the Knights to protect those that were defenseless and they were many: women, children, the elderly. Forget not the Teutonic Knights motto: Helfen * Wehren * Heilen (Help, Defend, Heal). Even if those defenseless had the weapons to protect themselves, there is little doubt their skill would match that of the seasoned Mongolian Warrior. That is the inherent reason this film contains something in it for everyone: men, women, & children. It is a story for the ages & all ages. Please help us make this production a reality. It is our deeply held belief that everyone will take away something from it, otherwise we wouldn’t be doing it. Life’s too short to produce schlock!!! Let’s get busy, mount up, we’ve got things to accomplish together and – besides which – there’s a the full-length feature to do! But to get there we must cross this bridge first!!!
