“Achtung – Panzer!!!!’
In the immortal name of Heinz Guderian’s epic, revolutionary tome echo on as we find Erfolg! Tres bien! ¡Èxito!- Success!!! Day before yesterday we met with Mr. Allan Cors of Chaffee Associates out at their Tank Farm/Restoration Center in Nokesville, VA. Suffice it to say they’ve got just about every armored vehicle you could ever think of ever needing: Shermans, Lee/Grants, M-3’s, BMP’s, T-72’s, British
Centurion…you name it, it’s pretty much out there in the “Grand Shed”. From World War I to the present day. It’s an actual restoration center, they import armored vehicles from around the globe and restore them to actual working condition; including the engine, internal parts, turrets, turret mechanism’s, etc. Restored & refurbished to actual functioning order. From my own continuing experiences at the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA, I know how involved, time-consuming, & expensive this process can be. All the tools are very much the same, just working on a lot heavier things. Cors’ Chief Engineer/Restoration Expert is Mark Sehrling: from experience I can honestly say these people are not only technological experts, but intuitive geniuses. I’ve seen them in action and their capabilities are simply jaw-dropping. And that’s precisely the type of individual to head up these restoration projects, they’re simply priceless. QuarterDeck Production Corp Board Advisor Jeff Dunaway (former Professor of Marketing at Johns Hopkins University) came along, and Mark drove us out to the “Grand Shed” in a World War II-era Jeep!
A Hunting We Will Go…’
So two Soviet T-34 tanks & grounds secured for the trailer for Scorched Earth:The Other Side of World War II (website to come). Thinking forward, some key crew already assembled. Availability depending, Vishal Solanki may helm the DP chair. Met him thru a mutual friend & we shared a coffee and outlook on Sunset Blvd. One sharp guy. Likes to “live” with a script for a few months so that – in his words – “it unfolds and reveals itself to me in my head”. It works. And a nicer guy you’re never going to meet.
COUNTDOWN: 26 DAYS & Counting to THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death debut on Indiegogo.com!!! This is when/where we need all of you to step up and support the project with your $$ if you are inclined to do so. Our Facebook page has been racking up Likes steadily (see current number at right). But as this writing it stands at 1,615. If just 700 of you who clicked “Like” will donate $100 each, we’re at our targeted goal of $70,000! If every one of the 1,615 Likers donated $50 we’d be up over $80,000! SPREAD THE WORD!!! If you like what you see here and on our Facebook Page, tell your friends/family/anybody who think might be interested in this. Remember – THIS IS THE MOVIE YOU ARE MAKING!!! You have the power now, it’s been taken out of Hollywood & placed in your hands. How’s that for empowerment?
As part of THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death project, we’ve appointed “Ambassadors of Good Will by Special Arrangement“. This is an exclusive club. They understand – implicitly & instinctually – the meaning of the maxim of the Teutonic Knights: “Wehren”, “Helfen”, “Heilen” (Defend, Help, Heal). We are proud to have them onboard the project and are proud to list them here:
Ambassadors of Good Will by Special Arrangement:
Stephen Paul Spratt
A Thespian of English extraction (English Actors don’t come trained any better. American actors should take note. That’s why we’re looking forward to working with him in the full length feature).
Herb Strasser
Mississippi National Guardsman & All Around Patriot.
Chris Rowland-Jones Rowley,
(who currently resides in the UK, works in a pub & considers himself a fierce Welsh Nationalist. As he’s most likely aware, one of the world’s greatest actors is of Welsh extraction; one Richard Burton by name.)
There are more to come – so stay tuned. Support for this project has literally exploded in the UK; proving once again that the Knights Templar & Teutonic Knights are true brothers of kindred spirits.
