THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death Now Over 4,200 Likes on Facebook!!!…

PR for THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death continues apace. We’re up to 4,205 Likes with 999 ‘Talking About’. Audience numbers continue to grow, proof again that there is a market for this type of film. So – it begs THE QUESTION: why are pledges to the project so slow? THE ANSWER: We just need more people (i.e. a bigger audience from which to draw). The state of the economy is not in a good place, and is unlikely to be so for quite some time; high taxation, lowered incomes, & crippling business regulations do not a healthy economy make. So we have to roll with that and turn it into a positive. What we’re trying to do here is produce an exceptional trailer for a full-length feature production. We set our own bar very high (as far as production value), wanting it to have a stellar quality (the subject matter simply demands it) but within keep it within reason $$-wise. We have been exceedingly careful not to go overboard on the budget. There’s nothing in there for creature comforts, trailers, or any of that nonsense. Each dollar is earmarked for specific purpose: costumes, lighting, cameras, dollies, dolly grips, gaffers, i.e. ONLY what is needed to get this project in the can to the editor, then color correction and all the rest of post-production. Having gone over & over the budget with meticulous precision, we can honestly say each item in the $70,000 figure we arrived at to produce this project is crucial to making it look spectacular; even to the point of being able to secure Emmy Award-winning & Academy Award & Grammy Award-nominated production talent on this in the form of Executive Production Designer Sir Brick Price, Production Sound Dean Andre, & Director of Photography John Lynch. It bears repeating that these individuals are working for a much lower daily quote because they believe in the project.  Most budding filmmakers do not have this level of expertise or competence available to them. If you peruse the “short films” section of  crowdfunding sites you will see they do not have this caliber of individuals. We do because of the strength of the material (i.e. both the concept & the script). As our late friend Charles E. Santacrose says in the pitch video, “most short films are just that & that’s all they’ll ever be. But this has real feature film potential.” Charles should know, he produced the multi award-winning short The Angel directed by Paul Hough a few years ago.

We are very fortunate to be where we are right now. This kind of project – along with the team committed to it – doesn’t happen very often.

THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death Cast Member Edwin H. Bravo continues working on Harbinger Down; with films there’s a lot to be done before cameras roll (commonly referred to as “pre-production”) and then even more to do when you get into actual production and find that somehow, someway “X, Y, & Z” managed to slip past you and those items are CRUCIAL for the production. This is the norm and when you surround yourself with good, competent people, you’re okay. We eagerly await more news/photos from the set. Remember here you’re getting the ‘scoop’ from the inside.

What every production needs: miles & miles of electric cable.

From the Dept of “Oops! – We Never Saw That Coming” Producer Stephen Rollins -still in Russia @ the Winter Olympics in – posted this observation this morning: “The last training session run before the finals for the ladies downhill skiing has been canceled due to the warm temperatures and melting snow. You know you’re in trouble when you’re at the winter Olympics and walking around in a t-shirt.” D’oh! Maybe it wasn’t such a brilliant idea to have the Winter Olympics down on the Black Sea in a city on a meridian close to that of southern Italy. Then there’s the news reports that the Winter Olympics could’ve been held in the Austrian Alps. Makes better sense than choosing a subtropical area on the Black Sea not far from Turkey. Haven’t heard any more about the state of the water, but at least – from our last correspondence – nobody was shooting at him. That’s a plus at least ;<)

That’s why you should come onboard. 4,200 FB Likers can’t be wrong. Tell your friends, family, & anybody you know about THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death: this isn’t the usual schlock that comes out of Hollywood. THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death is both different & unique. It’s an uplifting story of two brothers caught in the maelstrom of the Barbarian Invasions of Europe, knowing they can’t stop what’s coming, and fundamentally disagreeing about what is more important: Life or Property. The question is tougher to answer than you might think: we live in the day & age of “stuff”; Ipads, Ipods, Smartphones, Xboxes, etc. Allow us to pose this question – how many times over this past Christmas Season did you hear news reports of rioting and violence at some store because of some item the public was determined to have? It’s not as far-fetched as one might think. People love their stuff and to lose it – or not get it – is anathema to them.
