1/2 IN the Can…

Thanks to Jerry Wilkins & all the staff out at Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA!!! A wondrous shoot that actually didn’t take all that long (Getting IT in the Can PDQ!)  Colonel Reynolds was first up on slate (or is that the chopping block?), relating his experiences in Iraq where he spent a good amount of time in the “Green Zone” under rocket & mortar attack. Particularly harrowing were his tales of being stalled in a supply column outside of Fallujah and the time two of his charges become disoriented while driving outside the “Green Zone” and were – thankfully – able to be coached back to safe haven before any trouble started. We can’t thank Colonel Reynolds enough for both his service to this great nation & his participation in the production of this teaser reel. We’re looking forward to delving deeper into his and others’ first-hand accounts. Lensed by David Hansen-Sturm, the entire shoot actually took only half the time allotted for it. Now we’ve got Mr. Hearne to get on camera, then off to editing it goes!!!

1/2 IN the Can!!! Stay tuned!!! More to Come!!!

On THE MARSCHER LORDS: Brotherhood or Death front things continue apace. As previously mentioned, will be moving the project over to Indiegogo.com shortly so stay tuned on that. Make sure you check out THE MARSCHER LORDS:Brotherhood or Death on Facebook.Nearing 1000 likes already!!! (Nice to discover you possess a talent for Public Relations heretofore unknown). Interest in this project from both Great Britain & Germany continues to grow.

And QuarterDeck Prod. Corp. is proud to welcome onboard Ruby Emerald Diamond (Enrolled Agent) as Chief Financial Officer!!! A nicer, more knowledgeable, caring and giving person you won’t meet. She truly is a rarity in this biz & we’re really excited to have her on board. She really knows her stuff. Learning very quickly, that one’s success in this biz depends – on large part – on the team that you have surrounding you. A team that you must pick carefully. In this town you have to search long and hard to find the real gems between all the rocks. Unfortunately far less of the former exist than of the latter. Mo Fitzgibbon – a real gem in her own right – is chafing at the bit to get it to the editor already. How’s that for enthusiasm?

Working up a budget now for the Scorched Earth: The Other Side of World War II  trailer. This is going to be interesting, shooting a 15-20 minute mini-war movie (ka-CHING!!!). Have to pull in all the resources available on that one. Going for full production value & historically accurate gear including (but not limited to) tanks!!!

Perpetually worried about budgets and their tendency to scale the Matterhorn, but in a way one could relax: Not shooting a movie about the Battle of Jutland, are we?
